Raise Your Vibration – Start Feeling Better Today

Are you feeling down and low-spirited? Do you feel unhappy or saddened by the things that are happening on our planet? Are you simply feeling that you want to make some healthy changes in your life to start feeling alive again? Are you ready to learn how you can raise your vibration?

I recently found myself in a bit of a slump too. It’s not butterflies and rainbows all of the time. Sometimes we find ourselves lost, feeling like we’ve fallen off the wagon and we inevitably start to scrutinize ourselves. Why can’t I just stick to my gym routine? How do I let myself slip back into eating foods that are not good for me? Will I ever be able to live a disciplined life and be consistent with it? …. Does this sound familiar to you?

Listen, it’s not the end of the world if we abandon ship every once in a while. We’re only human and it’s bound to happen. The beauty of it is we can get back up and dust ourselves off. We are resilient and powerful and we can do anything we put our minds to!

Set Goals/Intentions

“Intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all of our needs, whether for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love.” ~ Deepak Chopra

Set some realistic goals or intentions and start small. Let’s say you really want to start incorporating healthier foods into your diet or you just want to start eating healthier in general. Set the intention ~ ” I intend only to consume foods and drinks that are healthy for my body.” Write it down on paper or in your planner and really try to stick to it. Remember you are the greatest project you’ll ever work on so take your time and really put your all into your self-development.

If your goal is to spend more time outside in nature, set the intention ~ “I intend to get outside more often and immerse myself in nature.” Also if you don’t already know the fascinating benefits of being in nature you can read more here!

Use affirmations to help you with your intentions and goals. Affirmations are so powerful and easy for anyone to use. You can find 50 affirmations here to get the juices flowing. Also, I have been using this affirmation YouTube meditation for years and still do. Another great meditation is the Raise your Vibration Meditation.

Determine Your Why

Why do you want to start eating healthier foods?

My answer; I know that my body needs nutritious foods to thrive. By feeding my body healthy meals I know that my mood will increase and I will feel more focused. I always feel my best when my body has the nutrients it needs.

Why do you want to read more?

My answer; I love that when I am reading, I’m not distracted by my devices or social media. It allows my imagination to run wild especially when I read fiction books. I also find that it builds my vocabulary and reduces stress.

Ditch Negativity

How many times have you been so overwhelmed and started to shut down? You begin to wonder if what you’re trying to achieve is even worth it. It’s easy to let negative thoughts take over and discourage you. It can be unpleasant and counterproductive.

Luckily, there are some techniques that can help you to get out of the funk and refocus your mind on more positive things.

Track it – When you feel a negative thought creep in, write it down. Let it out but don’t dwell on it. Then reframe it. Consider what your best friend or loved one would say to you and tell yourself what you need to hear.

Ask yourself tough questions – Reflect on your answers to tough questions. Like, what benefits do I get from having negative thought patterns? or what would I gain if I engaged in positive thoughts? What in my past made me think negatively? How will I choose my thoughts from now on?

Celebrate All Wins (even small ones)

Start cultivating more motivation by celebrating small victories consistently. Say one of your goals or intentions is to start eating healthier, you go one whole week eating only healthy green power bowls and no junk food. Celebrate this and treat yourself to that clothing item you’ve been eyeing or something you’ve been wanting for your home. Now you obviously don’t want to reward yourself with a chocolate bar. That would be counterproductive and not worth the setback. After all, we’re trying to raise your vibration and now lower it!

Find an Accountability Buddy

Set out on a search to find a buddy that you can connect with and hold each other accountable. If you don’t have a friend or family member that would be interested in this, you can find one online. There are so many groups on FaceBook or Instagram that you can find someone on. Me, I am a part of an intermittent fasting group and there are always people looking for buddies to do extended fasts.

It’s beneficial to have someone to check in with and even share ideas and things that worked for each other.

Conclusion

To wrap this post up, I just want to remind you to take it easy on yourself. We are all on a unique journey and learning as we go. Be kind to one another and have compassion for yourself. If you feel like life is getting heavy, take a time out. Sit with yourself in silence or in meditation and raise your vibration. Come back to love and remember you are worth it!
